What we do

Practice Area

DWI

Every one of the 50 U.S. states makes a DUI or DWI a crime. DWIs and DUIs are usually defined as driving while impaired by alcohol or other legal or illegal substances. BAC of .08% or higher. In all states, it is also a crime to drive with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .08% or higher, regardless of whether one's driving was actually impaired or affected.

Fake ID

Getting charged with having a fake ID in the state of Missouri is a serious crime. Missouri laws state that possessing false identification—whether it’s someone else’s ID card or any type of forged document that states you are someone else or someone imagined—is considered a class A misdemeanor.

Drug Possession

A conviction for drug possession can carry significant criminal penalties and can damage your future employment opportunities. If you are facing criminal charges for drug possession, you can find the experienced legal representation you need at the Law Offices of Mike Hamilton.

Property Theft

Theft is a serious crime involving the possibility of crippling fines and significant jail time. Even if you get convicted of the least serious category of theft, that conviction will be public information that will severely degrade your reputation and future employment prospects. With your freedom, finances, and reputation in jeopardy, you should do everything you can to fight your theft charges.

Traffic Offenses

Traffic violations can result in fines, higher insurance rates, missing time from work to attend Court and driving school, and the suspension of your driver’s license. If you have a job which requires the ability to drive (such as a valet or a commercial driver) then traffic violations can result in the loss of employment.

Felonies

In general, a felony is an offense for which a sentence to a term of imprisonment in excess of one year is authorized. Felonies are serious crimes, such as murder, rape, or burglary, punishable by a harsher sentence than that given for a misdemeanor.
